Need another fix?

Okay so this is my fifth Stitch Fix. It is starting to become like a good friend who just stops by once a month to sit and have tea. I look forward to the visits and get to have some time to play dress up!
If you still don't know what Stitch Fix is by now you should check out my first four fixes. ONE, TWO, THREE and FOUR!

Basically Stitch Fix is a fun and easy way to keep your wardrobe up-to-date. They get your style and size preferences, then send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home, in your closet, with your favorite jeans and heels or skirts and flats!

It's like a free Personal Shopper + Stylist in the comfort of your own home!

In other words IT'S AWESOME! And if you haven't already you need to get on their wait list for your first fix HERE
For those of you who are just hearing about stitch fix for the first time here is a bit more awesomeness you should know.
  • You get a free little gift with each package.
  • Each article of clothing comes with a style card which shows you different ways to wear each garment.
  • You can receive a 25% discount off your entire Fix if you purchase the whole box.
  • Whatever you don't want you just toss in the prepaid postage bag they supply and leave for your postman (so convenient)
  • You can mix and match each piece with your pre-existing wardrobe and shoes because this is done in the comfort of your own home.
Nuff said.
Now let's get this party started. Well it's not really a party but for this mama, it kind of is. (so sad, I know)

I thought I'd have some more fun this time around and give my outfits a title or a name. Since I was secretly already doing that on my own with my other fixes I figured why not share with you all! (you know, because that's normal right?)

My first item was this colorful tank cowl dress by Charlie Jade. I loved the fit and the colors but something about the style seemed a bit too business like for my taste. It reminded me of something I used to wear when I worked in an office or had lunch meetings out on the town. Needless to say, it wasn't a keeper.

I loved pulling this next little number out of the mix.  First of all it's an Everly skirt which is starting to become one of my new fave brands and secondly it had POCKETS! If you've checked out my other fixes or are a regular follower you know I have a thing for pockets in my skirts and dresses! The colors were fun and knew I could find plenty of things to pair with it. This went directly into the "keeping" pile.

Okay so this Dylan and Rose Crochet Trim shirt was so cute. I loved that it was black and that I could wear it with almost anything. The detail on this tank really did it for me though. Having texture like this on a solid color top always makes my heart happy. So into the "keeping" pile it went.
Now here is where I started questioning what I had filled out on my style preference card from the last fix. After each fix you can adjust your style preferences and talk to your stylist about changes you would like to make or pieces you would like to see in your next fix of you choose to schedule another.
Though this sheer jersey top was pretty, it just wasn't me. I kept lifting my arms and asking Micah if I was wearing it right. Unless my arms were at my side like pictured above I just felt a little silly in it and that's coming from a girl who has an eclectic style. All this shirt did was make me not feel cool enough to rock it... so into the "send back" pile it went, because nobody wants to feel uncool!
Okay so I will be perfectly honest about this next piece. When I first opened my box and pulled out my list of items that the box contained I saw this listed. It read two things that got me excited. Dolce Vita and Gingham. So when I got to the bottom of my box and saw this I was like, say whaaaa???
I love Dolce Vita and I also love Gingham. Put them together and I pictured a vintage inspired dress or a cute number I could dress up for the holidays.
This was neither of those options. The gingham was more of a tiny checked print and the material and style were one of a bathing suit cover-up. Well, at least that is what Micah said when he saw me in it.
I could totally picture a fashionista rocking this with skinnies and high heeled booties but this was definitely a "send back" situation for me. So bummed.
And in a last minute desperate attempt I even tried pairing it with tights and boots and was still left feeling blah.
It was totally okay it didn't work out because though I had some credit to shop with and had some extra cash money from my shop this month I knew with Christmas just weeks away the last thing I needed to be doing was buying myself some new digs.

So with that being said out of the two items I loved which do you think I should buy?
The Everly Striped Skirt with pockets or the Crochet Black Tank?

And while you're decided what I should take you should hop on over to Stitch Fix now and schedule you're very own fix! I would love to see what they send you!

I'm voting the black top! Such a cool concept, one day when I'm more financially stable, I'd love to try it out!

Hey there! I found you through one of the many giveaways I entered this week :) And I think this is my first time commenting on your blog. Love your outfits and love you! I think I was drawn to your blog b/c of your "Take the Cannoli" name :) I was in Italy last year on my honeymoon and seriously had my first CANNOLI there and it changed my life. We were in Rome for three days and there was a little shop behind our hotel and our tour guide recommended it. I seriously went everyday to get one. They had the regular filling and a chocolate filling with a choice of choco chips or pistachios! *drool* Okay, I'm sorry this is probably the longest comment. But just had to say... I love Cannoli's :)

I'm a little bit sad that you don't like the flowered dress, because you look amazing in it!!! I think most business people would be scared of so much color, so I just loved it! The second outfit is ridiculously adorable. In the next couple if pics, what I noticed was your hair...love the chalking...was just thinking about doing that this morning. :) And I am feeling you on the gingham shirt...any top with elastic or a drawstring around the middle makes me look like a sack of potatoes, so they're always a no-go. Love the post! Found you through WIWW.
