beach bums

I had a long list of things I needed to catch up on today, instead of tackling that list I changed the babes out of their pj's and into their swimsuits, lathered them up with sunblock and headed to the beach. Where we soaked up the sun, ate plenty o' snacks, destroyed every sand castle mama attempted to build because that is way more fun, ran from the waves and then just sat and stared at the ocean for what seemed like all day. After bumming it at the beach we came home, rinsed off and we all fell asleep.

Very little got checked off my list, actually NOTHING got checked off but I realized that some good quality time with the babes was very necessary for me to recharge and get motivated.

I love days like this and can't say for sure but am pretty certain we'll be building sand castles again tomorrow.
Thank you Lord for the rest I needed and the precious time with my babies today.
