Friends

After eating yet another delicious meal made by love for us by someone else I realized something. It's kind of ridiculous because it's a no brainer but I'm going to say it anyway.
Surround yourself with family and friends that are awesome!
Seriously people hear me out. When you're going through something in life or recovering from something such as having a baby a month early and moving into a new home and your life has been completely turned upside down, then right side up again you don't want to be going through it alone. Micah and I have been talking about how we have such wonderful family and friends in our lives and couldn't imagine getting through this past week without them.  You don't want something life altering to happen and feel alone or helpless. We all make choices everyday and choosing who you have in your life is one of them. I know it is hard to find good people some times which is more the reason to hang onto those ones you have, the ones who go over and beyond, who take time out of their lives for you. But in return you must do the same. It's like any meaningful relationship, a give and a take. We are incredibly blessed by the people we have in our lives and can't thank you all enough.

This hit home a little bit for me.. I know what you mean!! Ive moved around a lot and now that I am home, it seems the relationships that I left behind are not the same. I used to have what you have (with the friends) but somehow, 10 years changed something I thought would never change. Its my own fault, but I think I can repair the damage.... Thanks for this post, I really enjoyed it.

This post warms my heart - and that's because even though my closest friends all live in CA, I always feel the love...from waaay over here. However, I do wish I could squeeze you all more often.

<3 you guys.
