Sea Salted Rosemary Baked Potato Chip Recipe

It's no surprise that I love summer, I'm a Sunny California Girl through and through, and the same thing goes with summer eats, I love them! Hot sunny days lounging by the pool, Micah at the grill and the scent of that chargrilled burger and hot dog filling the air. I would normally just cut up some watermelon and grab a bag of potato chips to compliment my traditional summer meal but after Jacqui from Baby Boy Bakery shared this recipe with me I'm whistling a different tune! I can't wait to make this recipe for our next BBQ! This will also be the perfect recipe to add to the upcoming Labor Day Holiday menu!
I'm excited for you all to meet my friend Jacqui from Baby Boy Bakery!
She is not only the organic baking queen but a beautiful momma and a fashion lover! Today she is sharing one of her yummy recipes with us so get your pinning fingers ready because this is definitely a recipe you'll want to add to your recipe board!

A favorite in our house are potato chips! You know those really yummy ones covered in salt and leave grease marks!? Of course fulfilling our craving isn't easy on the wallet or the waistline. I'm a true believer of everything in moderation....so try my recipe for my baked potato chips.
They are healthier and cheaper....and yummy-er!

What you need
`5-6 yellow potatoes
`1/2 cup olive oil
`1tbs coarse sea salt
`1tbs dried rosemary
`1tsp pepper

Directions
`Slice potatoes evenly. Make sure to keep them the same size to ensure they cook even.
`Soak potatoes in water for about 2 hours.
`Drain potatoes and lay out on kitchen towels over night to dry.

--The Next Day--
`Mix oil, salt, rosemary and pepper into a bowl. Add them to the potatoes and toss to coat evenly.

`Spread onto baking sheets. Make sure no potatoes over lap.
`Bake at 325 degrees for about 45-60 minutes. Be sure to turn pans and use tongs to flip the chips over halfway through the baking.

`Once done, lay them on paper towels to soak up any access oil. Then ENJOY!

Oreo Truffle Recipe

so if you read my last post you know why I'm sharing this recipe.
If not you should go read it, it's short I promise

These small morsels pack some major flavor and are hands down one of the easiest treats to make.

What You Need:
1 package of Oreos (knock off brand will suffice, I used Joe's O's)
1 8 oz. block Cream Cheese
White melting chocolate (I used the vanilla flavored Quickmelts this time)

and that's it. three ingredients. now go make you some.
(please note: I'm not a big fan of oreos, nor do I like white chocolate, but man these are like cookies'n'cream goodness in your mouth, so if you're like me and don't care for two of these three ingredients you will still love them, pinky swear. And if not don't worry everyone else around you will gobble them up)

 Happy Pinning!

New York Birthday Bash!

We three girls hit the streets of New York
in Celebration of this girls 30th Birthday
Nat and Trish have been deemed the sisters I never had for the past 17 years. They complete a big part of my life and are the type of gals who could have fun sitting on the floor of a Rite-Aid Drugstore browsing magazines and eating red vines for hours on end(this has literally happened...more than once)  So putting the three of us in New York together was practically insane and resulted in very little sleep and the time of our lives.

I can't even blog about everything we did because everyday was so jammed packed that it exhausts me to even think about it. I'm still trying to figure out how it was even humanly possible to do as much as we did each day.
There was too much good food eaten to list but I will say I had the BEST CANNOLI EVER. There were too many hilarious moments to list as well, including our first sample sale and stripping down to try on clothes in between racks of clothes with no shame in our game to snag a designer piece.

Chicago on Broadway, Empire State building, Statue of Liberty, the 9-11 memorial, shopping, shopping and more shopping. Learning to navigate the subway lines, going to my first NY sample sale, guided tour bus rides, taxi rides, Mad Men Premiere viewing party, lunch in Central Park, flea markets, Times Square, Rockafeller Center and oh my goodness it seems like the list goes on and on.
I love these girls. I loved celebrating Nat's birthday in style. I love making memories such as these. I love that I can never tire of their company and cried when I had to part with them both. I loved returning home to my family after such a wonderful trip. And I love that I have almost 800 pictures to view over and over from our magical trip.

Happy Birthday my Nat!
yes my best friend's name is Natalie too.haha
You are beautiful inside and out and are one of the biggest blessings in my life.
Oooo girl I love you so, neva eva eva gonna let you go...
