Scenes from our Weekend

Our weekend was good, but I'm not gonna lie... it was also long.
Vernon has had a really rough go this past week and so the weekend was no different.
Molars + No eating = Miserable Baby Boy.
He has had diarrhea (did I really just use that word on my blog) all week because of his non-appetite due to his teething and so his BM's have been all cray cray and gave this boy the worst diaper rash I have ever seen. He has been in so much pain and so all weekend we battled that with the poor little man.
Then Elsie has started a new thing with saying no and crying loudly for no reason while we are asking her to do something and so we were kind of in training mode all weekend with her.

But in between all that biznass we visited the beach.
Swam in our pool.
Ate take out including pizza poolside (which was glorious)
And just tried to take it easy.

Also, my Natty came to hang out on a whim Saturday afternoon and so we hit up Old Town Orange and got our Vintage Shopping on. I say we, but miss preggo politely humored me as we she waddled around in the heat from store to store watching me try on Vintage clothes. Let me repeat that. I was trying on wool, rayon and taffeta fabric style dresses in like 100 degree heat. Ya real smart.
I was a sweaty mess by the time we were through and needed a big juicy burger to gain back everything I had just sweated off.

Though hot and sweaty I so enjoyed my time with Natty as we chatted and encouraged one another.Who am I kidding she did all the encouraging and often my spirits so much. I soaked up her friendship all the day long. She is good for my soul and needed that spontaneous girls outing more than she'll ever know.
Plus I scored some awesome vintage finds including this hat that I will be planning all my fall outfits around. Nat bought it as an early birthday gift for me!!

Hope you all had a fab weekend!

Oh and don't forget TWO DAYS left to enter the Group Birthday Celebration Giveaway!

Looks like a great weekend! I know what you mean when you say a "long weekend." I for sure have those too. Sometimes it's a blessing to get to go to work Monday mornings ;) You and your family are too darn cute!!! Have a wonderful week!

Poor sweet lil Vernon. Hope he feels better soon. What a super sweet pic of you and him and it sounds like you were able to have a good weekend despite his teething sadness. Always hated those times when you just know they are in so much pain but can't express it.
