Our Mini Vacay Photo Dump

We drove only an hour and a half away from home to a quaint little cabin near Big Bear Lake, yet it seemed as though we were far away from everything and it was lovely.

Lots of quality time all together.

Taking in the smells and beauty around us. 

The smells of rain, pine and fresh cut logs burning in the cabin filled our souls.

The signs of Autumn around the corner made my heart skip a beat

One afternoon we rented a boat for a three hour tour which was the highlight of my trip. Everyone took a turn being Captain - Boating, eating, tanning and feeding lots of ducks made that the most memorable boat ride eva!
Our trip was so short but was full to the brim with love and fun! I was a little bummed to have to head back down the mountain and back into the day to day routine. I loved late naps, unscheduled days, no dishes to be done, Micah near us all day long. It was such a must needed trip and so glad Micah took the initiative and booked it last minute for us.

After we returned home we wanted the feeling of vacay to continue so we hopped back into the car and drove to the beach where we played in the sand and watched the sunset fall before heading home to officially "settle in."
I'm still settling in and can't seem to get back into the groove of things just yet. Micah is home for the rest of the week so it is still to be seen what kind of shenanigans we can get into!
