Shoe Cutting Party & you're Invited!

I wanted to update everyone with some exciting news happening in our neck of the woods

Remember when I first talked about the amazing organization Sole Hope here

and then the lovely Alissa from Rags to Stitches  hosted a HUGE raffle here in efforts to raise funds for the Sole Hope Shoe Cutting party we wanted to host.

Well funds were raised, fabric has been donated and now Micah (my hubs) and I will be hosting the actual shoe cutting party at our house in just a couple weeks!
After talking with Sole Hope I learned that not only are they offering HOPE to widows, orphans and others within impoverished and forgotten communities around the world by teaching the simple trade of shoemaking that provides jobs and shoes for those in need, BUT now they are starting to do foot washing and jigger removal every time they go to Africa!
Micah and I sat up talking about our vision for the event and with the new information I received from the Sole Hope team, we knew that we wanted to kick it up a notch!

We prayed about it and then next thing I know BAM!
Micah contacted our fave Taco Man about offering a discount for the event, and not only did he agree to do the event but he said he would do it for FREE!
say whaaa?
yes free, I didn't believe it
sooo, I asked Micah
(in one of those tones that reads, "did you give him ALL the info about the event")
like that there may be anywhere from 30-50 people here.
because I mean that is a lot of food and he doesn't even know us, is he sure?

Micah said he was sure and that the food sitch was taken care of.

How Awesome is that.
THANKYOUGOD
Well then that inspired me to reach out to some of my fave blogs, shops and friends who might have wanted to donate something towards the raffle we had hoped to have help raise extra funds for the jigger removal and medical supplies.

And wow, were my socks blessed off!

Like fo' realizes!

So many giving hearts.
giving to the cause. I am still blown away by the emails I'm receiving of people who want to help out.

I even stopped by my local Nordstrom today and visited my Cosmetic/Fragrance consultant who  offered to donate a Fragrance basket full of goodies for the event. How incredible is that!?

A Pinterest board was created today of all the lovely donations that are coming our way. The list of items is still growing as I'm waiting for responses and for details of additional items being donated.
once we have all the donations, I will post about everyone who gave.

But for the time being Micah and I just want to say THANK YOU!
from the bottom of our hearts, we truly are blessed by everyone that is giving towards this.
Not only those who donated goods but to those of you who will be joining us to cut fabric. Your time and efforts mean so much I can't even put it into words.

I also wanted to let everyone know that the invite is still open.
If you have something you would like to donate or are in the SoCal area and want to be part of the special event please email me at
