Three years ago today

Three years ago today, my life forever changed

not only did I become a mother 

but I learned to love and open my heart in a whole new way

I learned to experience things in a new light

experiencing fear, joy, sadness and happiness was now in such a real and raw form

viewing the world through her eyes made things more exciting

everyday ordinaries became new extraordinaire s 

simple pleasures became big treasures 

and she has taught me to stop and smell the roses once again

this sweet little girl, has helped me make big changes in my own heart

she is a blessing beyond measure and I'll never understand God's goodness

in choosing me to raise such a beautiful soul.

this girl's heart blows me away 

she already prays for the ones she loves

she makes me laugh harder than most grown adults with her hilarious antics

and silly songs

her shyness is endearing

her tears are infectious

her dance moves are killer

her imagination is beyond what it should be

her hugs and kisses are rare

but her cuddle sessions can last for days

she is a unique soul

a tender-hearted gem

I pray that I will be the mother that God intended me to be

that I will help train her up in the ways of Him

that her sweet heart would be wrapped up in God's goodness and

that it wouldn't he hurt or broken too easily

That she would know that God's love will be greater than anything that might 

break it.

That she will have amazing friends who will love her for HER...

Three years ago today...

This precious being took hold of our hearts and we couldn't imagine life without her.

It literally feels like only moments since I brought her home and held her all night in fear that she would stop breathing if I laid her in her bassinet.

moments since she took her first steps and said "I love you mama"

moments since she turned ONE

then TWO

and now here I am staring at her. 

My three year old.

Where did the time go?
