floating along

I posted this picture in Instagram over the weekend, stating how I felt like a mermaid with my new locks.
This picture really just sums up what I've been doing the past few days. It looks as though I'm kind of just floating.

I have done nothing but lay around this week and it's already half way over.
to say that I'm okay with the turn of events would be true but I'm not gonna lie when I say I'm a tad disappointed that nothing was checked off of my Birthday Week "want to do" list.

I had expected this week to be filled with at least three trips to the beach.

pack a picnic & take it to the park.

some mall shopping.

maybe treat myself to an overdue pedicure.

stitch up some orders.

draw up new inspirations for future hoops.

lay out by the pool and soak up some rays as I prepared for the conference I'm speaking at this Saturday.

I had intended on eating nothing but See's chocolates while washing it down with Pumpkin Spice Lattes.

but instead...

I have laid around in recovery mode.
no beach. no shopping. no yummy treats to be had. no stitching has been accomplished and very little of my speech for the workshop has been finalized.

I have been on antibiotics since Monday and some pain meds for some random bacterial infection that has kind of got the worst of me.

Tonight I called Micah before he came home and said, "Please bring me a juicy burger, my week has not gone well and I'm about to turn thirty. All I want is a juicy burger."

so he delivered said burger and it was everything I had hoped it would be. delicious.

Anyway, I just wanted to say I've been absent from almost all social media and web related things this week because of the recovery mode I'm in. I have just been sleeping a lot and trying to get well before the weekend's events!

Speaking of my birthday, tomorrow is the last of the Celebration giveaways so make sure you stop by to see what's in store for you...I can let you in on a little secret it has to do with some of these things off my "Favorites List"

- Fall Scented Candles
- Wall Art
- Art prints & stationary
- Arm Candy
- Clutches
- Worthy causes and organizations helping make a difference in peoples lives!
- Anthropologie

So I'm off to sip some coconut chai tea as I take my last dose of antibiotics for the day. Though I feel like I'm just floating through this week, I know it has been good for me to do absolutely nothing and relax.
You think it was God's plan the whole time?

But before we part ways don't think I'm going to leave you with such a drab post, I have some splendid news for you (yes I said splendid and yes it's because I'm sipping tea)

The winner for the Dave Quiggle Deer Print Set was selected at random and the lucky winner is April Crisafulli! Email me you lucky girl!
For the rest of you, better luck next time, and next time meaning tomorrow, so see you then!

I was at the blog conference yesterday and first off... I was the rude person that came in late.... I am SOO sorry. My sweet son passed away just a short 1 month and 21 days ago. So, now that I am actually out in public again I get stopped a lot with people wanting to tell me that they are sorry for our loss. With this said I was down stairs "trapped" by kind and loving friends wanting to share the love and I walked in late. SORRY. I wante you to know that you are in inspiring and I am grateful that I got a chance to be there. Thank you!
