My parents came over last night to stay with the babes while we planned on attending our dear friend's adults only 30th Birthday Bash. It started at 5:30. When 6:30 rolled around and both babies were crying and clingy we just knew it wasn't going to happen, especially since they live almost an hour from us.
I didn't care. I've learned to leave room for times like these in my life and to not get frustrated with the babies. They knew something was up and were acting out because of it. That is fine. That is life. Plus Micah went ahead and made a very late night reservation for us at La Cave in Costa Mesa. Swanky Steakhouse is the best way to describe this little gem. It was perfect. Food was amazing and my company even better. I loved our unexpected romantic rendezvous and think God knew it was just what we needed.
How did your Saturday night turn out?

Your dress is so darling! What a fun little get a way you had! We went out for an early dinner to our favorite sushi place, came home, got the kids in bed and then enjoyed a cozy night catching up on our favorite shows. It was so nice and relaxing.
I love when God's plans turn out to be way better than ours! Great pictures beautiful girl! :)

Have you and your husband ever heard of The Bronx Wanderers? They are an Italian family that travels the US together singing oldies and all kinds of new music. We saw them at The Italian Fest in Milwaukee last summer and fell IN LOVE with them!
I love that you guys can be flexible and open to however the night might roll, b/c usually in the unexpected the surprises are much sweeter...
